Bleacher Report BSC Standings

Yes it is the Bleacher Report, and yes, it was written by a UM student/fan, but still it is a fairly decent look at the conference. Pure conjecture an opinion, but it is a start (isn't that really the same thing that happens when the media votes?).

I do like how the author points out that Weber's defense has matured quite a bit and should be much better this fall than they were last year. Moving to a 4-2-5, at least this spring, looked like it took advantage of Weber's strengths of speed in the secondary and made the Cats into a far better defensive team. Hopefully the changes will translate into less passing yards. The defense is already stout against the run, Weber has to become stronger against the pass now. The line will be able to put plenty of pressure on opposing offenses backfields and help the secondary by limiting QBs times to pass.

Offense...Weber has all of the pieces of success, but a deep line. Gotta make some changes upfront. Hopefully, the recent additions can come in and help out. With a strong OL, the offense has a chance at becoming something special.

I’m glad to see we are picked 4th in the 13 team conference. It wouldn't surprise me to see 4 teams from the conference go to the playoffs. We have a lot of talent returning and the win at Portland State really showed how good we are. PSU's only losses were Weber, TCU, and the Montana schools. I know we had playoff talent last season, we just need to push a little harder physically and mentally. It would be so sick to host a playoff game!!!

I agree that we do have a lot of talent returning this season. It should be quite interesting, combined with the fact that everything is upside down in Missoula. Our OL is suspect in depth at this point, but.....it's not the first time or the last. Our offense has some decent weapons and should be able to have a balanced attack.

The Defense should be solid, looking for a lot of pressure from the Dline as long as everyone can stay healthy. Either way, it should be a great season and it's up to the team how far they will go this year.

GO CATS!!!!!

I think this Weber team can do greet things, but the team has to believe it too and want it badly.

I'll say one thing, wouldnt it be great if Weber won the National Championship and Arkansas had a bad season? I bet that would make headlines on ESPN for a few days
