The late senior DL John Bloomfield was announced as Sac State's 2012 MVP tonight. What a classy move.
Other honorees were:
Offensive MVP: Garrett Safron
Defensive MVP: Todd Davis (no surprise there)
Special Teams MVP: Sam McCowan
Ray Clemons Award: Jeff Badger
Most Inspirational: Markell Williams
Most Improved: T.J. Knowles
Outstanding DB: Ryan McMahon
Outstanding Offensive Back: Ezekiel Graham (also no surprise)
Outstanding DL: Matt Lawrence
Outstanding OL: Clay DePauw
Outstanding Defensive Scout Team Player: Eddie Gillies
Outstanding Offensive Scout Team Player: Phillip Anspach
Some of these guys I don't know much about, but I probably would have given the Special Teams MVP Award to Edgar Castaneda.
