This totally could happen! Where else would Petrino go? Arkansas is perfect. It's small, remote, and totally irrelevant in football. What better place for Petrino? NOWHERE!!!! Come on!

Isn't it funny that a Pig fan spends his time on a Weber State fan board demeaning and picking on the said school he probably didnt even know existed a day ago? That would be like me spending the time to find a Fan board for some NAIA school in Florida that I have never heard of and trash them just because they are smaller, its no suprise everyone hates the SEC.

Whether it takes 3 seconds or 3 hours, actually looking for a Weber board just for the sole purpose of poking fun at them for stealing a coach that in all reality had no loyalty to the school he was just at, is moronic at best, but I guess we cant expect much out of Pigs fans :roll:
 
arkansas fans can say and think what they want. i do not care. because their school is bigger in football is not a valid reason for me to be one of their fans. ogden utah may never be a national tourist attraction like fayette, ar, but that means nothing to me. i graduated from weber state. it is the only school i care about, size and location and prestigue are non factors.

so razorback townies can brag all they want about their new coach. :lol:
 
How these pigs are acting should be expected. After all, they wallow in the filth and scum called SEC football. John L will fit in nicely with the likes of Saban, Urban, Patrino, Kiffen, and Spurrier. It's the perfect place for a lying scum bag.

Hog fans: Please, continue validating what John L. Smith did. I absolutely guarantee your opinion would be different if Smith or Petrino (ahem..cough...cough) left Arkansas in the middle of the night for a higher prestige, better paying job. Wait, didn't something like that already happen?

I don't validate it but I can understand where John L. Smith is coming from. He's close to retirement and has to think about future financial plans. It's hard to say "no" when gobs of money are waved in your face. But he was the one seeking a return to Arkansas...not the other way around. For him to say it's for anything other than money is a steaming pile of fiction.

(With apologies to two of my best friends in the world who are U of Alabama fans)-
One of the joys of being in a small beans conference, like the Big Sky, that the majority of college football fans deem to be irrelevant is not having to interact with SEC fans.

Weebs fans, it may sting for a bit but you're football program is better off in the long run with someone who truly wants to be in Ogden.

You hit the nail right on the head. Being angry with someone because they left one job for a much higher paying job, seems a little like sour grapes. Also, this whole "relevant" issue is silly coming from anyone who defines their self worth by what a football team has done in the past.

I like to participate in and watch sporting events. I love and support my school. I don't dislike someone else's school or them for going there. I have developed my own self worth and it isn't based on what happens at a sporting event. :thumb:

wooopig's point was we should stop being weber fans and be arkansas fans because he likes their football team and their athletic budget dwarfs ours and he knows people who have graduated from that college too.

by that same logic he should stop being an arkansas fan and focus on the new york giants since most people do not know where west lafayette, ark is. :roll:

Yes, Weber isn't the biggest school on earth or most well known, but HELL AT LEAST I went there.
