So what are everybody's thoughts on this game? What will it take for WSU to win? I am excited for the season to start but to be honest I don't expect a win here, I hope its a good game to listen to while I do yard work on Saturday though. And please tell me B-rad wont be on radio this year.

I think Weber will move the ball, but stopping BC is going to be near impossible. They have their line back and one of the best RB's in the nation carrying the rock. It'll be interesting. If the game is close it will give Weber a lot of confidence. Honestly, I'm hoping for a good showing by the Cats, no injuries, and a big paycheck to the school for our time.

Exactly

I am hoping for a score that is similar to the game against the U a couple of years ago. Weber came out of that game in pretty good shape. :D

SMJ,

not only have we never played miami before we have never played any ACC teams. BC will be our first.

*in football that is

I think limiting BC's running game and forcing them to pass more often than they would like will be key to Weber keeping this one respectable. BC's line is huge and experienced, and they have a very good running back. And although they return their starting QB, he's only a sophomore and lost his best target when their top returning WR went down in fall camp.

Here are some quotes from BC's head coach:

“There’s a lot of unknown,” Spaziani said. “We’ve never been on the field with them, there’s not too much commonality. They’ve got a veteran quarterback, they’ve got big linemen, big running backs . . . they know how to throw the ball and run the ball. They’re well-coached. Defensively, they’ll blitz you, they’re sound, they’re tough.

“They’re a good football team, and their expectations this year are a national championship. They were in the playoffs last year, (and) they’re better than they were last year. This is a very difficult game in a lot of ways.”

I think team speed even if it is BC will be the big factor in this game. BC has traditionally been very physical team so hopefully your schedule will allow you to rest or get a break by playing down the next game.

Northern Colorado is up next, so yea, Weber will be playing down the next game.

By the U Im sure he meant the University of Utah

Once again, I think that the 'Cats will hang tough, but the difference will be in the 3rd and 4th quarters...we don't have the same number of scholarship players, and those 22 scholarships make a difference. If our offense can move the ball, I think we can stay in the game. The challenge will be our defensive line, we're not deep enough to take the pounding from their O line, no disrespect, but it's the law of physics.....one can only take so much pounding before something has to give. Either way, just like against Utah and Hawaii two years ago, I think we'll be competitive but will have to pull something out of the hat to get the victory.

GO CATS!!!!

Of course, any hope of keeping this one close also rests on Cam NOT turning the damn ball over.

I agree with that one totally, if we continue with the INT's it will be OVER quickly....GO CATS.

Just read the pregame release on WSU Athletic Website.....their OLINE is HUGE. Gonna have to use a lot of blitzes to confuse them and put pressure on that QB. we have our work cut out for us, but hey, we need a good challenge.....GO CATS!!!

Is it game time yet? Is anybody out there going to be watching this game? Anybody have any score predictions? Im going BC 34 WSU 17

Three things I hope for out of this game, and two are guaranteed:

1. A nice paycheck ;)

2. A game against a quality opponent before conference play.

3. No injuries - the double edged sword of playing money games.

I have no expectations of Weber winning this game - none. Final score 48 - 13
I do expect Weber to win all of their FCC games.

Boston College does what Utah did and takes their starters out early, BC- 44 WSU-20

I think BC runs the ball a lot keeping the clock running and our offense off the field. Will weather be a factor with winds from the hurricane? 34-17

I agree with you, this is a good game for exposure and a chance to get some much needed funds for the Athletic Department.....but no injuries would be a real blessing. Their Oline is HUGE, did I say HUGE......

GO WILDCATS
