Both XCs, Girls Track (I&O) get Academic Recognition

The Sac State boys XC, girls XC, and girls indoor and outdoor track teams all received the Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Award from the NCAA yesterday.

To earn this award, Sac's APR was in the top 10% nationally in those sports. The girls indoor track team has now won this award twice in a row!

While I have a major beef with how the APR is formulated, the fact that we're getting national recognition shows that we are making major progress. WTG, Hornet Harriers!!!

Very nice accomplishment! Exhibits a well planned departmental strategy to increase retention and graduation.

I remember a few years ago when this APR agenda started and Sac got raked over the coals for its low performance. Very nice turnaround by Wanless and the overall program.

All sports will be announced 6/20 by the NCAA, curious to see how the three key mens sports have done.

Well done!

Yeah. I'm curious to see the impact of the high turnover in men's hoops on their APR. :|
