Good to see the Wildcats win a close game at the end. Free throws need to get better and chucked up to many threes down the stretch instead of inside game, but made the needed plays. First NCAA win of season. Now beat Pepperdine tomorrow.
The poor freethrow percentage was due to just one player who went 1 for 5. The rest of the team shot it well. You are right Chex, closing a tight game out is done best by taking it to the glass. That doesn't seem to be our best thing this year so far. Hopefully it improves. Defense and rebounding are just okay. Improvement there would be another step forward.
From the first game to now, it does seem that we are getting more comfortable with one another. We are also playing a little deeper rotation, mainly in the guard positions. This team is far from peaking and that is probably a good thing.
