Bracket Buster best chance for Sky to improve overall RPI

Is the Bracket Buster the best chance for the Sky to improve its overall Conference RPI? What are the chances of the Sky winning more games than it will lose? Can Weber beat Oral Roberts on the road?

Personally, I really like the Bracket Buster. Gives the Cats an unlikely DI opponent each year and gives us the fans something to speculate about.

Ditto about the bracketbusters, I like them to, I like seeing games against teams we dont see very often, or in Oral Roberts case years close to 22 years.

Yes, the Bracketbuster is a great way for the Sky to improve it's image, it's a good chance for the Sky teams to get some good D1 wins. And after looking at some of the matchups it's possible to see the Sky with a winning record

Yes Weber can beat ORU, but it will not be easy. They are a good team, they have played some good teams and have lost some close road games to some pretty decent teams like Tulsa and Oklahoma. The Golden Eagles are on a 6 game winning streak with some tough road games coming up, I might keep tabs on these games they have coming up. It's gonna be a good matchup

I like the Bracket Buster. I like that teams have to play a return game the next year. This is a winnable game for the cats. We just have to bring our A game.

The return game can be within the next two years. ORU has a good program. This will be a tough game, on the road, in the middle of conf. play. :twocents:

Agreed...the best part is we can see a quality non-conf game at home later on (in this case), instead of a NAIA or Div II yawner game. Too bad it's ending or at least changing (if it's the top mids, Big Sky teams will likely be snubbed altogether depending). ORU will be tough at home, the Cats will definetly need a best effort to compete there and if they lose, at least they'll get a chance for payback later. Must the return game be within two years? The Cats haven't scheduled Texas-Arlington there yet?

Weber is playing at UTA next season. I'm guessing that the two teams couldn't agree on a time to visit UTA this season, or Rahe knew, maybe hoped, that he'd have a number of players from Texas, on the team next year, that he wanted to give a chance to play in front of their families and friends. Also, UTA wouldn't have as good of a team as they do this year.

Oral Roberts can chose to come to Ogden next year or the season after. No matter, pretty sweet set up for next season if they come then. Weber will have, at home, next season: Utah State, San Jose St., and potentially Oral Roberts and road games to UTA, BYU, UVU. Not a terrible OCC schedule. Also, I'm sure that Rahe and Co. are looking for a tournament of some sort.
