We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Bracket Busters Gone

This will be the last season of the Bracket Buster matchups by ESPN. Can’t say this is good news as it guaranteed a home return game to The Nest. It also means the conference game scheduling will no longer need to be adjusted to accommodate the BB games later in the season. The good news is this opens up room for 2 more OOC games a season which are hopefully used for regional opponents. Thoughts?

Kind of a bummer. It got us to be scheduled against schools we maybe wouldn't have tried to schedule and then also have them come to the Nest.

The bracket buster theme was rather strange overall. In the beginning of bracket busters they only played a few key games that involved higher profile mid majors that needed to get a bigger audience and garner some attention that they could play at the highest level. Last few years it kind of turned into something other than what I would consider a "bracket buster" theme. When all 9 Big Sky teams from a one bid league there isn't anything "bracket buster" about that. It also came at a time when teams were trying to concentrate on winning the Big Sky or at least further their position for the conference tournament. It did have benefits as well for teams like Sac St. as mentioned earlier in gaining us a OOC game that we didn't have to schedule. As for regional opponents I would always like to see us play UOP and San Jose St. but I don't know if that is feasible with a home and home agreement on their part.
