Weber had some help tonight thanks in part to Montana State and NAU, who beat EWU, and North Dakota respectfully.

Both won their games by 1 point.

Now everyone but us has at least 3 losses.

And our next 2 are at home with a chance to maybe extend our lead on the conference.

GO WILDCATS

We still have a lot of basketball yet to play, but this puts us firmly in control of our own future.

I thought that might happen to UND, in their second game at altitude. I watched the first half of that game and NAU was playing quite poorly. However, toward the end of the half you could see UND starting to fad a bit.

The same thing was happening to EWU at MSU. That is why these road trips are so hard to sweep. Clearly, the better teams lost.

We just need to take care of our own business. We must protect our home floor. The crowd Friday was great, but we need to get more each and every game. It truly helps. :coffee:

Update:

Overtime games: UI beat UM. UM is now middle of the pack.
Sac beat PSU. Both are middle to lower.

I am a bit surprised how far UM has fallen. I wonder what happened on the road trip with their two star guards. They were both suspended for the EWU game. They looked out of sorts tonight. In the Sac/PSU game neither team looked like they wanted to win until the very end, when Sac got a little excited. :coffee:

The middle is getting crowded.

I think Montana's biggest problem is their lack of post player production, the loss of Bruenig sp? hurt them more than our loss of Bolomboy. I kinda figured this would happen to them.

Last night UM's big men were playing quite well. Their guards let them down. They have become a drive only team the last few games.
