BSC Pre-season Rankings

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1157321-big-sky-conference-football-2012-spring-power-rankings" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is an article, "Big Sky Conference Power Rankings going into the 2012 season". The article ranks the following teams in this order in the BSC. ISU will be playing road games at Montana, Cal Poly, Portland State, and Northern Colorado and home games against Weber State, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona, and UC Davis.

Montana
Montana State
Eastern Washington
Weber State
Cal Poly
North Dakota
Portland State
Southern Utah
Idaho State
Sacramento State
UC Davis
Northern Arizona
Northern Colorado

I think ISU has a chance of going 5-3 in league play based on the BSC strength of schedule. I see ISU winning all of their home games and winning against Northern Colorado on the road. Here are my top 5 BSC teams at the end of the season.

Montana State 7-1
North Dakota 6-2
Montana 6-2
Idaho State 5-3
Weber State 5-3

You are right, that would not make the article very objective being a UM student and Griz fan. This year will be very competitive with the new additions to the BSC. The ISU fans are looking forward to this season..

Just a little perspective from a visitor to the Bengal forum. The griz student who writes those articles for Bleacherreport is not only a little griz turd but this last year was listed as a freshman griz turd. If there is anything worse than a virgin freshman griz turd evaluating anything in the Big Sky it would have to be one of his beer swilling buddies on parole judging the Mr. Universe pageant. I am going out on the proverbial limb here and stating that EWU, MSU, and PSU will challenge for the top spots in the Big Sky.

Come here little griz boy and get some

North Dakota, Southern Utah, Cal Poly, and UC Davis maybe coming into the BSC with the attitude that they will contend for the championship as they have proven records. I believe ISU has a shot at the championship as they do have an explosive passing offense.

ISU as the BSC champions might be stretching it a bit, but I do like the way Kramer is building the program. Everyone thought it should be done the very next year, but it takes time, and I think he will get it done.

On paper, I do like the ISU schedule moreso than the other BSC team schedules. I think we have a chance of winning all of our home games and if we can win 2 out the 4 games on the road we should end up contending for the championship. I do not see any team in the BSC going undefeated this year. Montana and Montana State will probably be the favorites based on last year results.
