• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

I'm surprised there are actually 2 broadcasts without the word Montana in it. And I guess no love for being the Big Sky Conference Champs. Southern Utah gets nothing.

It is a dilemma to be sure. I have no idea how much the Big Sky has input into the process...they may not have much if any in it. Root Sports like all networks wants the most potential viewers they can get, that means a steady diet of Montana, Montana State and Eastern Washington at the expense of some other pretty good programs (No. Arizona, Cal Poly and some years Portland St. and So. Utah) Remember it's about ratings, attracting advertisers and money.

It's the same situation MLB has faced for years with ESPN and Fox ramming Red Sox and Yankees down viewers throats week after week. In the short term (like with Root Sports) that's great for ratings and potential viewers but at what long term cost to the sport, league or conference where a bunch of the other teams are basically ignored; sometimes pretty good ones; who are trying to increase their fan base, attract potential recruits and so forth?
