Not that weird when you consider how much Weber hates Montana, and the conference "big dog" rivalry that has been built over the past half decade. Montana out early or late doesn't matter in Ogden, just that MT is OUT.

The reason claimed why they lost? They "got out of character." People seem to dislike Montana because of their intentional unwillingness to accept a defeat humbly and give credit where it is due to the other team. Unfortunately for them, their own ahole often gets in the way of their being likeable. That makes them overbearing, like some German tourists I've encountered. Maybe they will make the adjustment some time soon.

My take on the game is they were simply outplayed down the stretch. Kudos and limelight recognition to Team Geving and the Viking Faithful.
 
Good coverage of game in Griz local daily. Didn't come across as poor losers there. Would be nice to have that kind of coverage in the Vikings' hometown daily.
