No official BSC announcement yet, but per this article:
BILLINGS - Billings will not host the Big Sky Conference Basketball Championships, but the tournament will likely land in Reno.
Visit Billings executive director Alex Tyson confirmed to KTVQ Thursday night that Billings did not receive the bid and that there will be a formal announcement Friday morning.
The tournament set for announcement in Reno will be held at the Events Center from 2016-2018.

Reno has two hotels in close proximity that would allow all 24 Big Sky men's and women's teams to share village-type atmosphere.

Anything but Billings would have been ok with me. I thought Spokane was the better choie given about half the conference could drive there. Reno probably bought the bid with super discounted hotel rooms for the teams. At least I know where I will be for that March weekend for the next 3 years.

Glad to hear this news.

Fine to hear that the tourney will be in Reno for the next 3 years.
Fine to hear that we are the nearest school for those hornet fans that might travel to an away game.
Fine that all 12 schools get to go and 24 teams will be in Reno at the same time.

Could go on about the pros and the cons but it's a done deal so I think it is just fine. And truly hope it is
successful.

Time for all 12 schools and 24 teams to embrace this decision and make the Big Sky Conference stronger. That goes for all the Big Sky fans as well. Everybody needs to do their best to accept it and be part of this decision being successful. If that happens, it will be. We are a conference that is needing to all get behind something in a unified manner and make our conference stronger. The incredible possibility....

Could see the Sac State students and fans going to Reno in mass if we make the finals at the Big Sky tourney final.

Have not seen a mass Hornet fan support at a game off campus since the late 1980 team went to the Div . II playoffs. Early in that season there were over 2,000 Hornet fans that boarded fan buses for the Sac State /Davis game. That game drew 5,000 in Davis and at the time was a home record crowd for UC Davis and there were more Sac State fans. And the Hornets won . I know, ancient history, but I was there and it is part of Hornet sports history. Just thinking, if the Hornets play Big Sky tourney championship game in Reno with a chance to go to the big dance, perhaps people will come, in mass!!

Looking forward to an easy train ride from Martinez to downtown Reno. us Sac State fans are so lucky this event is a simple train ride, bus ride or car ride for us. Sac State at last benefits huge from a Big Sky decision.
Let the fans from the California Central Valley school in this Big Sky mountain centered conference show up in mass. And so glad to not have to here the complaints from Montana and Weber State and other schools about Sac State hosting as our program has improved and has got so many Big Sky fans with their superior facilities complaining about us creating such an embarrassment for the NCAA tourney where the Big Sky representative falls big time year after year n the first round.
