BSU's Football Success Attracts Applicants

From KTVB's website...

With Bronco games having recently aired on ESPN, CBS College Sports, and ABC, it's safe to say more people know about Boise State. It's not just football fans paying attention to BSU, but those looking to go to college.

As Boise State gets more wins, more students are showing interest in taking classes there, according to some numbers the university tracked down for KTVB.

For example, in a normal fall weekend, BSU gets around 65 to 75 applications. Over the OSU game weekend, they almost doubled that number with 138 applications, and most of those were from out-of-state.

"From our two Fiesta Bowl experiences, and certainly with our two broadcasts on national television this year, we see a spike in online applications and requests for information almost immediately after the game," Zang said.

True to form, as the points increased on the Bronco scoreboard Saturday night, so did BSU's web traffic. That traffic pick-up wasn't just on the football or athletic pages, but on pages for academics and admissions.
