BYU game at ESA

Since BYU is designated the home team, I wonder if the next game is in Ogden-- probably not. Even though Weber has a better chance playing the neutral site than at the Marriott, and even though ESA is closer to O-Town, I'd rather go to Provo than SLC to watch this game in person. It's just not the same to me when you take the college game out of the college venues. Unfortunately, decisions are always about the almighty dollar. Hasn't BYU-TV been a stumbling block for them getting into a p5 conference? Hmmm...is there a pattern here?

Nope the new agreement goes Provo, Ogden, Neutral. BYU being the home team has more to do with the TV rights. Ultimately, they would like this game picked up by one of the ESPN networks but BYUTV will be the fall back.

I don't have a problem with the neutral site, as long as the students and season ticket holders are taken care of. :coffee:

2015: USU, @ BYU (in SLC), @ UVU

Anyone know of any OOC games other than these? A tournament? Will there even be another DI OOC home game?

:thumb: Agree...As long as there is an option that will help get the maximum number of students to the game and season ticket holders are taken care of, I'm all for a game at the ESA. If BYU can work out an arrangement to get ESPN to pick it up, hey, more power to them. I'm sure an arrangement has been worked out that Weber would get a percentage, not the same as the Y, but a percentage of the final profits from media, tickets, and any sponsorship for the game. This is a win win really. Also, we don't have to drive as far. The best part is, since we owe UVU a game in Orem next year, we only have to drive to Utah County once next year. Ahhhhh! That spells relief! Hopefully the Cats can finally beat the curse and get a W in Utah County.

I believe that Weber gets 45,000 in guaranteed money whether it is picked up or not.
