Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...let us see. PSU outscored in the paint 52-26. Wade plays 0 minutes. Is this the "how do we destroy a player's confidence" scenario? Is this a personal problem? The PSU 4s and 5s, who are wonderful women, had 11 rebounds in 78 minutes. They are getting killed inside and Wade, who led the league and team in several catagories last season, sits on the bench. If it is her lack of scoring, let's look at the scoring from the interior players against BYU. Player A: 0-1 0 points. Player B: 2-11 5 points. Player C: 1-5 2 points> Player D: 1-1 2 points. Player E: 1-1 2 points. Now lets look at Rebounds: A: 2 in 11 minutes; B 1 in 20 minutes: C: 3 in 20 minutes; D: 4 in 22 minutes. This is not to disparage any of PSU's interior players but shows what the standards are. After 2:37 real minutes against LMU, 3 total at Nevada and 0 at BYU one has to ask themselves if there is a rational reason for such decisions. If there is, please let me know.

been wondering the same thing....why play a post game with no true posts? agreed they are all wonderful young women but all except Wade are undersized for that position...curious choice by Murrell to keep her out, not sure why, course are we ever sure why?

According to PSU, Wade enjoyed "a breakout campaign" last season setting both school and big Sky Tournament records for blocked shots and finishing second on the team in rebounding and first with respect to rebounds per minute. She did this while playing 15 minutes a game. As Murrell noted on several occasions, she had a knack for coming through in the clutch. In her Freshman year, she was named the team's most improved player. During this season and , in particular in the last three games, the coaches have, for some reason, decided to try to humiliate Wade and I wonder if they are trying to get her to quit the team. Erin Yankus went through a similar Junior year and hung in there. I don't know if anyone else would have done so. I guess there isn't much one can do to keep PSU from cutting off their noses to spite their faces, but it is plain to see that it doesn't have a thing with her play. In the games against BYU and Nevada, the PSU 4s and 5s did not play well and Wade sat on the bench for all except 3 minutes. When you get outscored in the paint by 2-1 and 3-1, one might want to play a proven interior defender. Especially when your interior players are shooting 27%. Hell, Wade can do that and actually play defense.
