Cal not Traveling to Idaho

California schools will not travel to Idaho this year. ISU just lost two home games in Sac and UC Davis.

Can't use state funds to travel to Idaho and several other states. Doesn't mean they can't travel there. There are other options to pay for travel, including private funds.

It will be interesting to see what actually happens. If the BSC starts shuffling schedules, it could have ripple effects on every school. If the Cal schools don't end up visiting Idaho, will it be a forfeit or will the BSC make other allowances? There could be changes to everyone's schedules.

Just another crazy on top of a few other crazy things this year. Still waiting for the locust plague.

At the rate we are going with Covid now, this season is in jeopardy anyway.

But looking forward, if the Cal schools start having issues with traveling to other states, including Idaho, then it might be a good time for the conference to downsize. Removing the Cal schools would give the conference 10 schools that play all sports. 10 is the perfect number for a conference, IMO. And that would shrink the geographic footprint which could help lower costs. Lowering costs will become a big issue for the next several years.

This. I would not miss any of them. Save some money on travel and make a better schedule. It also would not be a big hit to recruiting. Weber should still be able to go into CA and get the athletes they need.
