Homecoming! How 'bout a Homecoming win to stop the losing record?! Cal Poly is an interesting record, they pummeled Portland St, just beat SUU by 3, and offer what kind of challenge to the Cats? Weber St. has plenty of challenges they face, as has been mentioned plenty here. Hopefully, a decent crowd, America First is offering free tickets to members who show a AFCU card, supposed to be good weather, but a 0-5 record doesn't draw a casual fan crowd. No better time to turn out a win for the Wildcats!!
Is this the first win? GO WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Critical game no doubt. If Weber loses this week, very probable that Hill matches Sears' awful start two years ago of seven losses with Montana State next week on the road. You don't want to be in that company. Need to get the 'W'.

Cal Poly has the best rushing game in the Big Sky, so the defense needs to swarm and force turnovers on the ground, as there won't be many opportunities in the air. The Mustangs have 69 throw attempts this season, the least amount by far in the Big Sky.

Offensively, Wildcats need to get penalties and turnovers under control. It's so frustrating to see a team with such great potential constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

I'm feeling good about Saturday. I'm sure the week off has helped the team get focused.

Anyway.. :blah:

The weather will be fantastic. I love afternoon games. Really looking forward to this, I predict a Wildcat win by a sizable margin.

Where did you get this from? I sure hope its true as I have some friends that actually want to go and cheer for Weber this weekend but I dont want to buy their tickets.
As far as the game goes, no score prediction from me. JUST WIN THE DAMN GAME!! :thumb:

Can we just show our card at the gate for entry, or do we need to go to AFCU and get a ticket? Hoping for a Homecoming Victory! :thumb:

Caught the ad in SE newspaper (Sunday issue?), it stated up to 4 free tickets by showing your AFCU debit or credit card at the ticket office. You might want to call the DEC ticket office to check if you can do it at the stadium. I'll try & find it (go dumpster diving :) ) & if successful, double check.

Triple option!!! I don't know what to think. I really feel the Cats can get off the snide and get a W this weekend, but it is going to be tough. There are going to be a lot of yards between the two teams. Weber will have over 400 yards passing and the Stangs will have over 250 yards rushing. Yikes!!

Saved from dumpster diving!...in today's SE, page 4A, the ad from America First Credit Union: "...present your America First debit or credit card at the box office and gather up to four tickets, free..."!! Also, first 5k fans at game can get a Wildcat T shirt that bleeds purple!! WOW!! See you there for hopefully a Homecoming WIN!!

Homecoming attendance? I'm guessing 8000. Of course, I'll take more, but will be happy with that number. I'm a huge fan of watching Cal Poly's offense. It is a well oiled machine, when they are playing well and an absolute train wreck when they aren't. Hopefully this past weeks Bye has given the Cats plenty of time to heal up and to get their legs back. Weber is starting to resemble a M.A.S.H unit. Good to see Deontae Florence back in the 2 deep chart. I wonder what happened to him. Terrible hearing about Justin Turner. He was really playing well and is out for the remainder of the season along with Tui. Wonder if either will be able to get a medical hardship waiver.

Likely good guess...optimistically, maybe in the 9K area, doubtful we'll see another double digit crowd this year what with the 0-5 record turning off the casual fan crowd from attending (but promotions with free tickets could help). Favorable conditions: Homecoming (usually draws at least 1-2K more fans), good weather, credit union promotion going on, & BYU isn't playing (on TV).

Knowing Coach Hill would like another double digit crowd to show up, sorry, not likely (only if that record were reversed could it be doable). Just hoping for a WILDCAT WIN !!!!!! :twocents:

Another disappointing loss...effort was definitely there...this team just can't seem to finish consistently...too cautious on passing game today (after initial interception) & cornerback coverage on the backside slipped up a couple of times on their offensive sneak plays. On positive side, way to go Bo Bolen on runbacks, a good day for him. Coming close but no wins can hurt confidence, it's showing, maybe a win or two the rest of this season, hopefully so, but it looks to be a tough go. :-(

Billy Green now holds on to the ball to long after the interception he needs to see somebody wide open before he throws it and that is not good. We need to give somebody else a shot Green has no confidence at this point nor do I in him. The last offensive play wasnt his fault and I cant believe after calling a timeout we couldnt get on the same page just pathetic.
