Thanks for joining, you guys seem to be one of the teams foghting for the PAC-10 Title, or at least have a chance, USC is looking good again, you guys think you can beat them?

First-compliments again on the site. Only read a few posts, but the board folk seem good too.

Now-our position in the Pac10:
I think Cal learned a little about looking ahead/reading their own press from Tennessee game. This is (by far) the most athletically gifted set of athletes Tedford has had to work with, and it stretches well beyond Marshawn Lynch. Before Tenn I would have said we have a shot a Pac10 champoinship. At this point I think everyone (including us fans) understands that it's one week at a time.

That's also why I don't think Cal will be flat vs PSU. If we play as we can/should we should get a solid W. That said, start flat, give your guys some success, and this could be far too close for comfort. From what I see you have a good front 7 (NO TDs Yet!! Props!!), and a pretty good QB, good OL.

Here;s to a good, clean and Injury FREE game (we both need our guys for those important conference games).

Enjoy your visit to Berkeley. Come look me up...I'll be the one in blue

thanks

you guys are most definitly the toughest team we've had to play in awhile, here's to an injury free game

I'm a Cal Parent and huge fan...now....but a grad from dear old FSU. Your AD or scheduler seems to be related to Pat Hill at Fresno...."Anyone....Anytime...Anywhere!!" ...and it seems to be working for you folks too! Congrats!
With Cal getting thumped out in Knoxville....any preseason Size XXL heads are pretty much gone. My guess is they are in No Way looking past Portland. Too many issues still open: QB and play selection of OC, DL and weak pass rush, OL cohesiveness, DB coverage, WR blocking, the Kicking game.....etc, etc. The problem is.......though we fans at CyberBears - Growls know ALL the ANSWERS....the PLAYERS are typical 18-22 yr olds.....who could quite easily be thinking of week 4...and as SonofPB stated, might come out..................f_l_a_t. If they do....hesitate to say it will be a surprise, because it won't.
Unless they go totally belly up and Longshore goes backwards....they should be able to regroup and win comfortably....SHOULD BE!!!!!
Anyone like to give us a quick rundown on the good and bad this year for the Vikes? Who to look for??
Hope many as can....make the trip! Lots of good eatin' around town after the game........Telegraph Ave. is always a kick, too! Questions about where to go?? Stop by the Growls site and ASK!
Good luck and NO serious INJURIES!!!! Go BEARS!

On the O:

Tremayne Kirkland (#1) : He's not your typical 6'2 or 6'3 WR, but he is very fast and has some moves.

Brendan Ferrigno (#83) : Mike Hass'ish. I think you guys know that name. ;-) Great punt return too.

Sawyer Smith (#19) : Solid QB in his senior year.

On the D:

Adam Hayward (#5) : I think he leads the nation in sacks with four after two games. Quick to the ball.

D Line : I won't list them all here, but they are talented and deep.

Corners : Dominic Dixon (#6) & Odell Jackson (#2) : Senior corners that play like senior corners.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to seeing the school that gave Cal Mouse Davis. Good luck Saturday and let's hope for an entertaining and injury free game.
