Calling all Cougars

Lets get the word out to Cougars on the west side of the state to come to the Husky vs EWU game. We could use your help cheering our Eagles on to victory over the dreaded Huskies. Wouldn't it be awesome for both teams to put a slap-down on the Huskies in the same year!!
With your help we would do it the first game of the season and you could put them away at the end of the season.
Go Eags!!

I guess the term cougar is somewhat relative. Given my age it would middle 60's :grizo2:

I don't want any help from stinking Coug fans!! :ohno: I'd rather be the only EWU fan sitting with 70,000 Husky fans, than team up with Wazzu! :D

I don't give a S#%T who I sit with as long as it helps us win!!

I thought it was going to be a great thread to "view", so you were not the only one.

Hopefully Coug fans can pack out Martin Stadium that day to see their team beat the crap out of Idaho State. I expect the Cougs to finally break out of the cellar and surprise a lot of people. As for WSU fans supporting us, I know there was a lot of love coming from Pullman during our NC run last fall, so let's not be elitist jerks *cough* ewueagle2010 *cough* when it comes to gaining new support for the EWU cause. Extra numbers wouldn't hurt us at all! :thumb:

That first game back for Kramer at ISU has a lot on intrigue. I wish I could watch that game. Kramer/Wulff, both heading up teams that have been doormats the last few years and trying to rebuild.

Ya, we need Wulff to be around next year, so he'll get a front row seat when we pay him back for the temporary post season ban he left us.

Don't be surprised to see a blowout. My bro is the offensive GA for the Cougs this year so I've been getting regular updates from their camp. Without getting too specific, it seems like the ship has finally been steered away from the reef down on the palouse. I would love to go, but of course there is a FAR more important game that day. Huck the Fuskies!

If refusing to stand arm in arm with Coug fans means that I'm an elitest jerk, then so be it! Although, I don't think any EWU fan could be considered an elitest jerk considering we still don't get the coverage or respect that WSU gets even though we are better from the coaching staff to the players on the field. (No offense to your brother who coaches "FrontFive4Life") To many Coug alum's and fans don't trully respect EWU, just as so many UW fans. Part of the reason they probably were rooting for us last year, is because they don't have a program worth following down there. As far as the Cougs surprising people...i'll believe it when I see it. I don't know who in the Pac-12 they believe they are better than this season....

You're right, there is a large group of ignorant fans at both schools, but there are also a lot of WSU faithful who understand the quality of what EWU brings to the table and respect what we've done (and should by all rights continue to do). All I was pointing out is that those who choose to jump on the EWU bandwagon, even temporarily, should be welcomed. :twocents:
