I don't see any team making it through the Big Sky without a loss. Montana and EWU probably have the best chance based on what I have seen so far, but I expect both to slip up somewhere.

I would love to see it happen, but reality is it is that unlikely probably isn't even a strong enough word. You'd be talking about 13 games in a row, including beating some really good teams and likely North Dakota State or comparable in the playoffs (and that team is phenomenal). The only way it is even possible is if Eastern stays perfectly healthy, one or two injuries in the wrong positions would make it next to impossible.

Everyone knew the schedule worked against us in a BIG way this year and 9-3 would make me jump for joy.

Of course they CAN. The question is not "what is the likelihood" or "will they" the question is CAN they win out.
My glass is more than 1/2 full, it is overflowing, so I say ABSOLUTELY!

yes, of course this team has the talent to win every game left on the schedule. i think what everyone is saying is thats it not likely. the Big Sky is very deep and talented this season.

Interesting, because when you have alternatives for answering including percentages, one would assume you were looking for a likelihood. If not, it should be a yes or no question.

Yes, it is possible. Winning the Powerball jackpot is possible. Povetkin beating Klitschko is possible. AlphaGriz becoming a Eagle Athletic Association member is possible. Yet the likelihood of any of these things happening is extremely small. Hope I'm wrong and the table gets run, but I sure as hell am not expecting it.

In 2010 we got thumped by Nevada, barely squeaked by Central, lucked out on an onside kick to beat Montana, were embarrassed by MSU and, as they say, the rest is history.
That year the Eagles ended the season on a 11 game winning streak. I would argue this team is better than 2010 if only due to the depth.

Are you saying I have a chance to win the the power ball? AlpoGriz will never ( I repeat never ) be a Eaa member we have membership standards.

i thought the onside kick was in 2012? i dont remember one in 2010, just a late field goal and then a fumble recovery for a td.

Correct. I think he just got confused. 2010 was the game where Taiwan broke two huge TD runs and Renard returned the fumble for a TD on the last play.

Well I guess not. My enthusiasm for the Eagles and the win over the Beavers sucked me into an overly optimistic point of view. The game in Hunstville has been a reality check.
I am now concerned for the rest of the season. In order to get a seed we will need to go through conference play and hope for some breaks elsewhere.
That may even be a lofty wish, we may not even make the playoffs if our line play does not improve.
After our loss to MSU in 2010 we made a run that ended in the NC.

I think the team may have done some headline reading after the Oregon State game as well. We really haven't played a good game since. We haven't been outright awful, but the intensity shown against the Beavers hasn't been matched in any game since. And I was wrong about the strength of the team as well, I thought defense would be really solid this year with all the talent... but it certainly hasn't turned out that way.

The defense is just putting too much pressure on the offense. When we give up 500+ yard every outing, the offense needs to score way too often to keep up. We are just too young on offense to expect that kind of performance. They managed to do it against Oregon State, and thus we got the win, but haven't done it since.

It's time for the defense to earn their keep.
