7 times in BSCT history the hosting school lost its first game it played.

1985-86: Nevada lost to Montana State in the quarterfinal
1986-87: NAU lost to Nevada, quarterfinal
1996-97: NAU lost to CS Northridge, semifinal
1999-00: Montana lost to CS Northridge, semifinal
2001-02: Montana State lost to Montana, semifinal
2004-05: Portland State lost to Weber State, semifinal
2008-09: Weber State lost to Montana State, semifinal

2014-15: Can Weber take out Griz?

-Boise State hosted in 1990 and didn't even qualify for the BSCT. Probably a good reason to not have one of the 12 be the neutral site coming soon.

-Conf tourney started in 1975-76.

God, this would be wonderful. Topping the Griz in their house as the No. 8 seed. Not gonna happen, though. Not as long as Rahe is coach.

The Griz are due for being upset. I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum, except our occasional Griz Troll, would agree. Lets be honest too. There is a great possibility of the Cats beating the Griz. Arguably the Cats have become a better road team than a home team, which will help in the future. The Cats did beat the Griz in Ogden and that win was fairly convincing. With Senglin available to handle the ball, and Hajek in the middle the Griz are in trouble. Only reason they beat us in Missoula was because of turnover margin and second chance points.

I hope, if Senglin can play and he is ready to play that Rahe keeps Hajek in the middle. Since Big James has been starting his averages have gone up to 7.4ppg and 7.1rpg. Those are solid numbers, and fairly consistent since Jeremy went down with his jaw injury.

If I were Rahe, and if, Senglin could start my starters would be:

Senglin
Golden
Gittens
Bolomboy
Hajek

Hill is too inconsistent. I like him coming off the bench.

I'm pulling for you guys....you've had enough bad this season, you really need to beat UM and I think you can...you beat them already this year and I think you may be playing your best basketball of the year right now....Go Cats!!!!

And also you'd just luv it for the host team to get knocked out before your Hornets would have to face them! :kisswink:

I would love to face you guys again.....you don't want to play us??? I bet the majority of your fans would love to face us again....

Rather Ironic isn't it...that here we are again at the latest BSCT version & wouldn't you know it, it's Wildcats vs. Grizzlies once more...only this time in 1st round instead of championship...just can't break away from this annual (minus last year) get-together!

Wildcats need to try some pay back for one of the most painful losses at the Dee in the 2010 tourney championship when Anthony Johnson & Griz team stormed back from 20 pts behind @ halftime to a 66-65 victory. Nightmare 2nd half collapse & a out-coached job done on Rahe. Sure coach would love it even if Tinkle isn't there to feel the pain.
