Offensive linemen Nick Beckman and Parker Kamps verbally committed to Idaho State on Sunday, Capital High football coach Todd Simis said.

The two guards helped the Eagles advance to the 5A state championship game and post an 11-1 record last season.

Beckman (6-foot-4, 265 pounds) and Kamps (6-2, 260) are the third and fourth Capital football players announce their college intentions. Tight end/safety Kyle Sosnowski verbally committed to play football at Boise State last summer, while defensive back and state champion triple jumper Kasen Covington verbally committed to compete for the University of Washington track and field team.

The two Capital players won't be the only Treasure Valley products on Idaho State's offensive line. Eagle graduates and brothers Ryan and Sean McElwain joined the team this season.

The Idaho Statesman had this to say about Beckman and Kamps.

Nick Beckman -- The All-5A SIC first-team selection stands 6'4" tall and weighs 265 lbs. He helped Capital's offense produce an average of 42.6 points per game. "Huge and athletic, this kid is going to be an amazing football player at the next level," Mountain View coach Judd Benedick wrote.

Parker Kamps -- The 6'2" 260 lb. left guard helped Capital's offense average 249 rushing yards per game. "Most physical offensive lineman in the valley, "Capital coach Todd Simis wrote. "Parker has a motor that doesn't run out of gas. Bright football future." The senior also was an All-5A SIC first-teamer.
