Cats are coming to Cheney

Ok, I know you guys are probably a little shaken right now but we might as well get this started.
Sounds like you have OL and DL issues and BLM is coming off one of his worst games. I am expecting BLM to rebound and come out hot this week.

The Cats are ready and will be bringing their kickers this time and shouldn't have a 3rd quarantine bus either. We are pretty healthy right now having just lost a #2 DE to ACL injury, but have a LB and OL returning to the rotation this week.

my take is this, when you have the ball, it will be key for our front 4 to apply pressure, Our secondary is young but athletic and looks to be coming along very well, this week will be their biggest test so far but I think they are up to the task.

When we have the ball we are very balanced and will test you on all corners of the field to find weakness to exploit. I think your secondary looks strong and am expecting a strong run game from us this week.

This team has definitely not thrown in the towel so they will be more than ready for the Cats. Last week reports were saying that this game is close to selling out. Should be a good one and the Eags are out to seek revenge for last years loss in Bozeman. We do have some injuries but that is no excuse for not being ready or able to kick the Cats butts on Saturday. Go Eagles!!!

yeah, we're gonna have to keep a keen eagle eye on this cat...

Even though we haven't liked the results thus far, I don't think for a second that the team or the coaches will even think about quitting. Not now, not a month from now, not ever. It's going to be a crapshoot if I can make it over to Cheney for the game on Sat, but I'm trying to find a way. If not, I'll be glued to my phone like every saturday listening to the broadcast on pins and needles. I think we bounce back and protect our house. Go Eags!

I have watched the Big Sky way to long to expect the Eagles to lay down after a little 0-3 road bump to start the season. Like I said in the first post I know you have a few issues right now but also your backs are against the wall, just as one of our players said in the post game interview this week when talking about this game "we are going into a dogfight"

We haven't started games well at all and have trailed by double digits in the first half of every game.

And we still haven't forced a fumble after living off of takeaway's last year.

This will be the 4th highly mobile QB we have faced.

I can't wait for this game. The Cats have looked good so far, but the Eagles backs are really against the wall and it's going to be a battle! I just wish I could make it to Cheney to watch in person.

EVERY game is a must win from here on out.
Expect an Eagle team that is doing everything possible to win and defend the Red Turf!

Weird. September games sell well in Cheney. Maybe you'd think our AD would want to schedule more of them?

Nah, let's just be a road team from here on out...

Sounds like your team is beat up along the offensive line. Ours was last year and our backups played great and I am expecting the same out your group.

Been looking forward to this game to answer a lot questions regarding how much pressure our front four can actually generate and how well our secondary can play for full game when the ball is flying everywhere.

The one thing that does scare me about the Cats is that we haven't stopped anybody in the red zone yet this year. As much as you guys move up and down the field, holding you to FG's will be critical.

On offense, I have been proud how our offensive line has done blocking and opening some holes. They still haven't put together a complete game up front, but are pretty consistent. Our center who put on 30lbs over the summer has been excellent (still small but ton of fight). Still haven't seen McGhee really catch fire yet, but we haven't needed him to either (against Utah had no time to throw, I like EWU front four a lot but it nothing compared to what we faced vs Utah). Its been run and throw over the top for the big play, no mid range passing attack...yet.

There is nothing magical our running attack or our runners this year except they like to bang heads..it will be a hard hitting game.

Hope for no injuries.

As far as picking this game, I have to go with home team Cats and at least at the end of it I'll know if they are for real or not. I can also see EWU and Mitchel getting hot and blowing out of the building with our young secondary and lack of pressure (maybe, losing DE Gales hurts) especially since we have had better luck against the Griz than you guys.

Either way wish I was there to watch a terrific game. Go Cats

I still can't believe how the defending Champs started the year with 3 straight on the road and open the BSC against the MT schools back to back, again. Hopefully your luck turns around much like last year....... right after a loss to the Cats.

I'm with BP on this one. Tough game to call, and it should be a blast to watch. Just wish I could be there.

Schedule may be worse next year, 3 straight on the road again to start, 2 against FBS.

This has the makings of a very very good game. I expect a lot of points and EWU to come out with a purpose, Mitchell and Kauf will hit a couple deep balls, bank on it! Tru J, was a tough matchup last week, and when the cats have to account for Edwards, Herd, and Kauf, it will be a long day for the cats secondary.

In my honest opinion I think Eastern rolls the cats, crazy yes, but I think eags win by 10+

This could also go the other way, but Eastern will come ready to play. Cats never play well in Cheney, this is first home game of the year, National Champ banner being raised, and its revenge from last year.

Eastern 38, Kitties 21

I told you in my first post on thi thread that we would bring our kickers this year,

Cunningham kicked for over 200 yards in field goals today. (18 points, more than the difference of the game)

Good tough game, now its time for EWU to wake the F**K up and win out the rest of the season :thumb:

2 major things killed us in this game. Our lack of defense on 3rd down and our O-line (in particular the left tackle was getting eaten alive) not giving Bo time to pass. The one bright side i would say is the running game looked a lot better(props to Talley and Forte). Also i would have liked to see a few more deep thows to Brandon or Edwards. Every game from here on out is a must win in order to have any shot at defending the title. Keep your heads up Eag fans, we're not out of this yet.

55 yard field goals. That was nuts. Msu played very well today. You probably won't find many eagles with any sense of humor about our situation and I doubt winning out is going to happen. At this point id like to say id settle for a winning season, but at this point id settle for 3-8.

Watching tonight's game, I'd say the Eagles are still a VERY talented team and just need a few breaks. Good luck the rest of the year and I hope you do win out!
