Looks like the annual discussion about the relative value of each school's education, mental stability, affection for barnyard sex, etc. is well in hand on other threads. While that valuable work is carried on by those best equipped to sling effective sh!tballs, how about a discussion about the game itself? There is a lot of football knowledge here, and I'd like to see what you folks think about the nuts and bolts of this contest.
The Hornets are playing very well lately, albeit inconsistently, which has been noticed and remarked on throughout the conference. The team went into to MSU and played hard nosed ball against a hard nosed team, under conditions the Cats hoped would favor them. It's a shame they lost, but we seem to be getting to a place where other teams know they are in for a football game when they step on the field.
The Davis schedule was weaker overall, but they played some tough teams-----and played Boise State very tough. The passing attack is a potent threat. They have a good football team. But if we play the way we have played in our best outings, and both the offense and defence puts together their "A" game at the same time, this can be a memorable game and win. I'm not sure I felt that way a month ago.
SD, how about a preview of this one. I have enjoyed your take on things for previous games. You can always go back to making the moderators crazy on the other threads.
By the way, Sac Rat, are you OK? You can get up for this one, right? Been pretty quiet over there.
