I hate not being in Frisco right now!! My hopes and expectations were running very high but as much as I don't like to admit it we did as good as possible.
Who are you picking to win Saturday?

clawman,
As much as I hate to admit, the better team won that day. I am going with Eastern Illinois (REDBIRDS), I set my DVR couple days ago for ESPN2, @ 10;00a.m. The Redbirds Fans were very good in sending their Condolences to the Rodgers Family along with other Teams. You should attend the Women BB Game on Saturday @ 2p.m., you will enjoy the Game. WBB are also 2-0 in Big Sky. They came back with a Trophy from Gainesville Florida, the defeated Georgia Southern and Florida Gators, came back with Championship. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb. Vic Wallace

EWU Grad 82,
After the Game against Illinois State, I knew they were a great University, especially with the condolences for Jake Rodgers Dad, along with other Universities. I saw on TV this morning the game this weekend will be in memory of Jakes "DAD" for Jake his # 65 will be on the back of Redbirds Helmets. What an "Outstanding Gesture" This one got tears in my eyes. Thanks for the "TAUGHTS" Rebrirds and Fans, we salute your Organization. My DVR is set on ESPN2 for 10:00 a.m.. Go get the Championship. Hoping for a great game, both teams come out with no injuries       :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:       Vic Wallace

The Redbirds are definitely my sentimental favorite but I have to say logic says the Bison earn their 4th consecutive title.

Too bad...ISU had em on the ropes but couldnt hold them in the end. We know about that all to well. Congrats on a great season Birds fans.

In the post game show the commentator said the seniors graduate with more national championships than losses in their careers.
WOW

Bummer. Illinois State probably wins if they play better offensively in the first half. I thought they had better overall talent. Sucks that the kid fell down in coverage on that last TD drive.

You gotta give it up to NDSU. They have a great formula.

I thought the Redbirds had 'em. It sucked watching that defensive collapse at the end. Redbirds fans deserved that win if for nothing else not being the type of asshats that NDSU seems to produce.

Seattle Eagle,
I was rooting hard for the "Redbirds". IMO what killed them was the mistake when the fumbled kick off in 3rd qtr., balled landed on their 19 or 21 yard NDSU recovered. They ended up kicking a field goal. Remember the final score was 29-27. Even with the interception by MDSU at the end, they could have won the game not for the missed kick off in beginning of 3rd qtr. I watched the entire game this morning, soothing was said about the #65, on back of Redbirds Helmet. Then at the end of the game, had to go to ESPPN3 for presentation of Awards. (SUCKED). Congratulations "Redbirds, for the way you played, and again for the "Outstanding Gesture", in memory of John Rodgers, Jake dad. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:       Vic Wallace

To All,
Remember next week Saturday, 24th @ 5.p.m., is the Eagles Football Banquet. Price did go up to $30.00 person from $25.00, which isn't bad for what you get at the Banquets. I have been going for some time now and met numerous Players. Time goes so fast, they become Seniors so fast. Seemed like their 4 years come so fast, and they are gone. Good luck Seniors. Thank you and yours family for representing our Programs, and University with high "HONOR. Vic Wallace

Saw approximately 6 Recruits at the Women Basketball Game on Saturday afteroon. I know they enjoyed themselves, the Ladies BB Team did give all a thrill for the way they played against Idaho. Remember our Eagles are the only Teams undefeated in the Big Sky. Both Men and Women Teams are 3-0 in the Big Sky conference. Congratulation Coaches Hayford/Schuler, and your PLAYERS. Go Eagles!!!!!
