Coach Duft talks about the last 12 years and how things have changed and are changing. Interesting.

Coach Duft says some good things here about recruiting, scheduling, style of play, etc. The trend in the NBA and college ball is to have skilled guys at all positions, who can guard multiple positions. With all the on-ball screens and switching, guys have to be able to guard. You can see this trend in Weber's recruiting. This year's team is more skilled, more versatile, top to bottom, than any I remember. Only time will tell how good we'll be, but things look good on paper!

They have also changed the manor in which they recruit players. They are now taking less of the shotgun approach, where you pass out a ton of offers thinking that you will hit on some of them, to more of a rifle approach, focusing in on specific targets to fill specific needs. This approach uses a lot more vetting and evaluation. It also seems to be working better for us.

With the players we have now, I think it is safe to say that we will be changing how we play again this year. It's all good. :coffee:
