Coach Walsh Still on Board as well

Noticed on the ISU mens basketball website under staffing it lists coach evans and the 2 new guys with their email and no phone yet, plus Coach Walsh is listed with his contact info. Then I heard Coach Walsh was in Los Angeles this past weekend at a big AAU tournament scouting high school players for ISU. So it looks like he was retained on staff. This info had not been posted on this forum. Now, wouldn't it be interesting to find out which players he and the other staff are scouting at these AAU tourneys? Last year they had offered a couple regional high school players and looking at others. Wonder what Coach Evans is going to be thinking with these kids.

I heard the same, that he had been retained. Nut sure if it was the best option, but it may have been the best option for the time being. Not saying that Walsh isn't a good coach at all, but I was really expecting Potter to be on staff and in time, I think and hope he will be.

I have heard some very good things about Coach Walsh.

Walsh was the Head Coach at a powerhouse JC and is connected.
Being on the prior staff, he understands the community.
He is a tireless worker and his efforts have been rewarded by Evan's.

From what I am hearing, this guy continued to work during the coaching transition and created his own opportunity to be retained.

Congrats Coach Walsh.
