Portland State football: Coaches clinic set for April 23-24

University of Miami coach Randy Shannon will be among the featured speakers at the 2010 Portland State Coaches Clinic on April 23-24 at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Portland.

Other speakers include first-year Portland State coach Nigel Burton, former University of Washington coach Jim Lambright, Northwest Missouri State coach Adam Dorrel, and Utah assistants Jay Hill and Morgan Scalley.

Local high school coaches scheduled to appear include Lake Oswego's Steve Coury and Jefferson's Anthony Stoudamire.

The clinic begins Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday evening. Cost for the clinic is $40 for both days, $25 for one day. The hotel also a special room rate of $59 per night over the weekend and is located at 310 SW Lincoln.

Miami Coach Randy Shannon Highlights Football Coaches Clinic, Apr. 23-24

The Portland State Football program will hold its 2010 Coaches Clinic on Apr. 23-24 at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Portland. Several collegiate coaches from around the country, including University of Miami Coach Randy Shannon, as well as local high school coaches will serve as clinicians.

The clinic runs from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. It will be headlined by Viking Coach Nigel Burton, Shannon, Utah Special Teams Coordinator Jay Hill, former Washington Head Coach Jim Lambright and others. Local high school coaches scheduled to speak are Anthony Stoudamire (Jefferson) and Steve Coury (Lake Oswego). PSU Offensive Coordinator Bruce Barnum and Defensive Coordinator Eric Jackson will also be clinicians.

Cost for the clinic is $40 for both days, $25 for one day. The University Place will also have special room rates of $59 per night over the weekend.
