Coaches Show tonight

Just wanted to remind everyone that our first coaches show of the year is tonight at 5:30 in the "Q" Sports Bar at Northern Quest. Coach Baldwin shows highlights of the UI game at 5:30-ish, followed by questions from the crowd (time permitting). A reminder for those going this evening...you may hear some information in the question and answer period that shouldn't be publicized, so please use caution with what you share in this (or other) forum(s).

For those not in the area, the radio show starts at 6:00 on 700 ESPN, online at 700espn.com or on your mobile device. Search "Spokane Radio" for the free download. DE Paul Ena and DL coach Ryan Sawyer will also appear on the radio show. Hope to see all local Eags there, there are good food and drink specials as well. Get there early for the best seats!

Woo thanks for the reminder! I had just assumed there wouldnt be one due to it being Labor Day.

Trying to listen via internet, but nothing so far?

Doesn't start until 6, but yeah, there's absolutely nothing on the station right now. I hope that somebody that ended up being able to go can PM a couple of us the pertinent questions and answers discussed with coach.

Just called them up, they said that they're airing the Mariners game right now and aren't allowed to stream that online or whatever, so that's why it's dead air. He said he'll make sure to the coaches show on there though.

It was good to hear Coach Sawyer and Paul Ena. Class acts. There was not any "secret" info. Baldwin just said they are going to Pullman with the mindset to win the game, just as any opponent intends to win. All three very calm and business like. Baldwin had very high praise for the play of several players in the UI game. I always enjoy the film breakdown and what coaches see that the average fan does not. These guys are GREAT.
Go Eagles

I hope somebody is there and can give a good recap... neither their online stream, nor stream through smartphone apps are working. Called them up and he said he's working on it.

Well, this frustrating. Guess I'm missing this week's show.

Yep, very frustrating. I suggested last year that they podcast it as well so that you could listen to it at your leisure. It can't be that hard...everybody and their brother has a podcast these days (comedian Marc Maron does one from his garage) and you can still sell ad space and monetize them.

Clawman, were you at the Coaches show? Could you give us a recap if you were? Radio was a no go this week.
There was a very nice crowd there, we'll need a larger room soon. Guests were Baldwin of course and also Coach Aaron Best and Will Post. Best talked about the depth and more specifically the quality of the depth of the O-line. Post also did a nice job of answering questions about his years at Eastern. Good guest speakers!
Baldwin gave a great breakdown of the game, highlighting not only key positive plays but also plays that the Eagles can learn from. He showed more plays than usual, about 12-15. He showed why we had 2 int's, receiver zigged and Padron threw a zag. Outstanding leadership by Brown in the d-backfield. The fumble, etc. Great detail of the statue of liberty play that scored a TD and what made it work. Also a few examples of why hard work pays off in ways everyone does not always see. How our d-line caused the Cougar o-line to hold. Team will be working on getting better at fundamentals and what they do well.
Weber is expected to be a more physical team that we typically see in the Big Sky with some returning skill players, specifically QB. Working on what the Eagles do good already and not over thinking and over planning for the game. He used the saying "paralysis by analysis", as a negative and they do not want to go there.

Thanks! Was there an injury update on Herd, Bronson, and Padron?

Coach said Herd was doing surprisingly good considering the hit. He didn't have enough specifics on injuries to make a comment but I did not get the sense he had specific concerned.
