Coaches show

As I get ready to head out to the Casino for the coaches show where he reviews game film and talks about the next opponent I wonder how many attend the show that read this board? There are generally 20-30 people there and they usually are basically the same crowd
I am curious what your thoughts are as to it being on Monday evening rather than a noon luncheon. Would more of you attend the show if it was at a different time? a different location?
It seems a lot of people read this board and very few post a response.
Please respond.

School night with kiddo's. Pretty tough. Still wish they could podcast it.

Live in the Seattle area. I like the evenings so I can listen to the stream on my computer...

If you're thinking the coaches show seems to be the same crowd of 30-40, the luncheons were only 10 of the same people... That's why they quit doing them.. A coaches show isn't necessarily put on to get 100 people since it is a "radio" show. The radio show gets a lot more listeners/fans than going back to those boring luncheons would get again..

Swoop;
I have attended most every luncheon going back to when Wolff was HC and as I recall we always had more people there than we had even tonight. There were 20 people in the room of which were Krista and another university staff member, net 18. When they were at the Holiday Inn we always filled 4-6 rounders with 8 per table and at the Red Lion River Inn there was always 25 - 30.
Plus when they were at noon the coach has the option of going longer to review tape.

The reason the Tuesday coaches luncheons were moved to Monday evenings was to accommodate a weekly radio show, something that EWU had not had in my previous years of doing the radio broadcasts. It's not feasible (because of time constraints) for Coach Baldwin to do both the weekly luncheon and the radio show and this is the time that was agreed upon by the university and the radio partner.

As far as attendance is concerned, there isn't much difference in my eyes between the two time slots. If the team is winning, more people show up. Funny how that works. We had been in the range of 35-45 people the first four weeks and were down to 20-ish last night.

Knowing it's not possible to have both, which do you prefer: A Tuesday luncheon with no weekly radio program, or a weekly radio program with a shortened film session/question-and-answer period? EWU officials do read this board, at least on occasion, and may take into account the response given.

Radio show. No question.

kalm,
I also attended the noon Coaches Luncheon ar Holliday Inn at noon on Tuesdays. It didn't matter much to where the Coaches Luncheon were held, I just enjoyed being able to hear what was going with our Athletes. Holliday Inn was closer, but I taught it was because of the noon hour attendance we move to Northern Quest at a later time.

It seems to me regardless of the time, we should get more attendance. It is funny how things change when you are winning. ;) ;) I enjoy the Coaches Luncheons, regardless of the time and place. Of course I am retired, so it doesn't matter. I enjoy making new friends, and getting more Boosters for our program. Go Eagles!!!!!Vic Wallace

I've never been able to make a luncheon or the deal at the quest. But from a marketing standpoint, partnering with the NQ and KXLY plus all of the mentions on the Patchin Show lead up is a huge.
