It appears the problems with getting good quality audio through Stretch Internet have been resolved. last night's show sounded good...

In the upper right hand corner of the screen under the words "Game Central", you'll see two boxed arrows. Click on the one on the right if it doesn't start immediately and you'll get a stream you can stop, start, and move around.

Just out of curiosity, why did the coaches radio show move from Mondays to Wednesdays? I know it's been this way for probably a couple years now, but was there a reason for moving it? During basketball season, most times we go at least two weeks from hearing the men's basketball coach. Same can be said for the women's coach.

I can see where Mondays might have interfered with Monday Night Football broadcasts, for example, but then what about Tuesdays? Both basketball teams would be in town during the conference season.

Sas:

I don't have an exact answer to your question but I think part of the reason it was moved was to accommodate Mike and football. Wednesday is the last day that any of the staff and players are available to the media and this gives everyone the very latest opportunity to get the latest information on a weekly basis.

Once you start the show on Wednesday for football, you can't just move it to another day for another sport, there needs to be some consistency.

Like I said I think that's part of the reason but I honestly don't know...that's something you may want to ask Steve Schaak about.

how much was O'Brien's media compensation? if evans is appearing bi-weekly, is his media compensation half as much? is sobolewski's media compensation tied to coming out after games and being interviewed on the radio?

Don't have any answers to your questions Donny, I just don't know about those areas.

All I'll say is that if a coach feels he or she needs to spend the time after a game talking to their team, they should have the right to do so and sometimes that takes awhile.

That's part of the reason I try to get the assistant coach who has the scout for that night's opponent to come on for a few minutes. It at least gives some background / substance to the game that was just played.

It also gives Seton some time to do what he feels is best for the team but like I said, if he feels he needs to be in the locker room for however long, the bottom line in my opinion is that the team comes first...not the broadcast. Seton is not, repeat not, deliberately ducking talking to any media member.
