I think this was the game we've all been waiting for. Finally, this team puts it all together and lays the smack down on someone.

BLM - Excellent game. Played within himself and managed the game. Decent numbers and would have had even better numbers if not for a couple of easy drops. No picks, no problem!

TJ - Seriously - is there a better back in FCS? I don't think so.

Offensive Line - Superb

Defense - Ok, gave up some yards, but a lot of it was in garbage time. What really sticks out is how the defense came out in the start of the game and completely took PSU out of their game. They had to almost completely abandon the run game and were forced to pass the ball game long.

Special teams - Kicking game not stellar but at least we were able to get a FG through finally. Kick/punt coverage excellent for the most part. Punting was EXCELLENT! Negatives were the 2 TO's on the kick-offs......unacceptable fellas.

For the most part, the Eagles played like a championship team today, and I'm damn happy about that. I do feel slightly better about the rest of the season with the remaining games being at home, but SUU will be no joke (glad we have the bye week to prepare for them) and ISU is playing like they can knock off anyone right now. They also tend to win the last games of the year, so that will be a tough one too.

"One game at a time" Eagles......win out and get a little help from Montana and we could be in there.
 
It's nice to jump on a team early and often and be playing seconds all 4th quarter. We haven;t done that before in this season, and it feels really nice.

Just got home from the game and PSU was NEVER close!!! D dominated and the Ofense had a field day !! Wow did we need that one!! Vitto comes in throughs a TD and the team played 4 good Qrts !!! Wow was that just what the doctor ordered !!! GOEAGS!

Vitto didn't travel and won't travel the rest of the season. Granted our last two games are home games - but if we travel in the playoffs, he won't be joining the team. Discipline for a non-football related action/activity.

Flyingnail, it's "throws" a TD, not throughs. That one slays me.

Sorry to hear that about Vitto. I really like the way these coaches recruit quality kids and do what it takes to keep them in line when they make mistakes. There was a slightly more severe incident last year that appears to have worked itself out pretty well. These guys are still in that transformation from kids to adults, and will make mistakes. I like the environment these coaches and the team has created for learning from those mistakes and moving on.

As for throws verse throughs, I guess it depends on how hard it is thrown. :lol:

Sometimes little errors like that bug me in business emails, but it's all good on a board like this. I've gone back more than once and edited posts where I've made similar errors.

Yep FreeBird, usually edit my own as well, however, three and a half hour drive home "threw" lol a monsoon it was all I could do to read the games post and crash for the night !!! all in fun, GOEAGS!! great game too!!!
 
wooooooooooowwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeee great game eagles!!!!! listed to the post game interview with Taiwan, this guy is so humble. gave all the credit to his o-line and wide outs for good blocking. such a quality student athlete!!
