Conference play after Christmas...who designed this?

Who wrote up this arrangement? 3 of the top 4 (pre-season) teams play in Montana the first week. Weber goes to MT state and MT, NAU does MT then MT State. This is a rough start for the visiting teams....

Heck Weber plays the first 3 conference games on the road (MT State, MT and NAU) before finally getting some time in the Dee. In the first 7 games, 5 are on the road...wow.

P.S.> Was watching NAU play Texas - Pan American on Fox College Sports last night. Ugly win for NAU.

They are playing in a student activity center, since the Dome is being renovated. Smaller than some high school gyms, no room for student crazies behind the base lines, not many fans in attendance for this one.

Heyoh, this is just something you've got to get use to with the Big Sky. You don't ask how its done, just be amazed that its actually done. The same people who do the scheduling also hire the refs...that should give you an idea. lol

I just barely looked at the schedule. HOLY SMOKES!! Good heavens, that is a crazy start for the Cats. Did anyone notice that Weber plays @PSU on Jan 20 and then flys to Colorado to play @UNC on Jan 22? WTF??? I guess the only good thing about this schedule is that Weber plays their hardest games during the first half of the Big Sky schedule.

Good thing the Sky got rid of the Friday/Saturday schedule. Portland to Greely in 24hrs would be a bit much for the Cats.

Not to mention it wasnt even, some teams like Weber State had friday/saturday games every time they went on the road (minus the EWU/PSU road trip) other teams "Montana" had NO friday saturday road games
