Congrats are due for the Eagles, 2010 FCS Champions. Came back from being down 19-0 to win 20-19. Guess the red turf worked!

seemed like the the Hens could have put them away in the 1st half, but settled for the 2 FG's. EWU looked so much faster than Delaware in the 2nd half. Nice win for the west coast!

Yup I agree. But it was a good win for Eastern and a good win for our conference over the CAA!

Yup I agree. But it was a good win for Eastern and a good win for our conference over the CAA!

if they would have reversed that call (negating the 1st down), the EWU staff would have gone crazy, and rightfully so. I thought the spot was wrong, and it might not have been a first down (the yellow line seems off by a far amount on a couple other measurements so its hard to say), but to remeasure AFTER they had moved the chains? crazy.

I think they got the chains issue right. As embarrassing as it was, I think the ball was repotted correctly and the chains were pretty close to where they were before they moved them. Either way, Delaware still had a shot in the remaining minutes but couldn’t pull it out. It was a pretty good 4th quarter.

I had a problem with the chains thing myself. This likely doesn't happen in the NFL (before the 2-min warning, anyway) since the coaches will likey be all over a bad spot with their red flag. Bottom line is that these calls are physically NOT reviewable after the chains are moved, so if it looks close, it should be reviewed BEFORE the chains are moved.

Other than that, the Hens had a shot afterward and failed to make good on it. Besides, most Delaware fans aren't the ones who are vocal about the chain call. It's disgruntled NDSU fans who are STILL seething over supposed injustices perpetrated by the officials during the game in Cheney.
