Been through the posts and haven't seen any recognition from posters that Coach Best officially won his FIRST PLAYOFF GAME AS THE HEAD COACH...

This was his first rodeo and got a good win against a tough out in Nicholls.

Other things I've liked about Coach Best this season:

The whole coaching staff has improved
He fights for the team against poor officiating (not in a Bo Pelini or Mark Stoops asshole way)
He's in the moment
He has a FINISH mindset (killer instinct)
He's learned from mistakes
Has team playing up to their level, not down to the competition

Lots to like.

I love the shift in mentality CAB has brought to this program. We’re going to run the ball and we’re going to play defense. Congrats Coach Best!

Other things I've liked about Coach Best this season:

Lots to like.

Agree on all counts. He's doing a great job. A lot of teams would've really struggled when their best offensive player went down before the halfway point in the season. And after the Weber game, a lot of teams would've panicked and sunk. Eastern took a down week and refined their offense and came back better. I'd gather that's why he got coach of the year honors.

I'll also add that recruiting doesn't seem to have skipped a beat. We're still getting awfully good new players.

Good call on the recruiting. Hope it's a depth building, game ready set of players again this year.
