I'm seeing nothing formal in the form of a press release for this yet, but it's going viral on Facebook right now, particularly among former Hornet players. If one of you finds a link before I do, please post it.

No word on the reasons for the departure of Jerry Halflich as head coach, or even when it happened.

Per a SacBee report, Jerry Haflich has at least temporarily stepped down to undergo tests for a dizziness problem that first presented itself about three years ago while playing golf.

You think it might have had something to do with Coach Haflich taking that pitching wedge in the forehead when some idiot let it fly on the driving range at an ARC fundraiser?

He never made it to the round of golf.
