On the bus heading back to Poky from Cedar City. Team lost a gut wrenching one tonight 76-75 to the T-Birds.They were down 14 and battled back. Had a small lead a few times down the stretch. Played their guts out and almost won. Woods had her layup chance altered by 6-4 Gates with five seconds left for a possible win. So. Utah hit 54% of their three point shots...made 10, blocked 10 Bengal shots... and still ISU almost won.

This young team is fighting to make the post season AND THEY NEED YOUR HELP!

Montana is in town Thursday, Montana State Saturday afternoon. That game may be simply the biggest game this season.

PLEASE COME ON OUT AND SUPPORT THESE KIDS!

The team and the coaching staff would really appreciate it and it would help them push through this rough stretch.

what's seton's record at ISU vs Montana? 2 wins and 12 losses?

Donny:

Not sure why you're asking the question. Just wondering what your point is? His record vs. Montana is about as good as any other coach in ISU program history and probably as good as most other coaches in the conference against Robin.

Team needs support this week as they push for the post season.

Since the NCAA tournament season, the women's record is 43-43. It's actually a little better than I thought it would be. Not great. Not bad. Average. The good thing is the leading scorers do return next year, so there is optimism.

By the way, women's attendance is now 5th in the conference at 872.

Sin:

Assuming the core group now playing can avoid injuries, Seton has some real talent to work with over the next few seasons.

Woods will be back next year as will Anna Lee. Both Grace and Megan will have a year under their belts to get stronger and more physically ready for the grind at this level. They are going to be stars.Keep your eyes open for Sailor Grayson next season, she was good enough to be Oregon State's second choice for a scholarship if their first choice didn't agree to come. (Oregon State makes the second round of the NCAA tournament just about every year now...) Both Jenna and Freya return from injuries next season as well.

Like it or not, it's going to take time when you have as many underclassmen on the team as you do. Especially from a physical / strength standpoint. Northern Arizona and Southern Utah simply overpowered the Bengal post players who were giving up either inches or pounds or both on this last road trip. That's not an excuse...that's a fact. You can play and play well against players giving up an inch or two...it's almost impossible to stop post players when they are 30 pounds heavier.

They still have a reasonable shot to make the post season tournament for the 12th straight year. That would be a tremendous accomplishment for this bunch but (yet again) I stress to the fans that it will help if you'd come out for the final three home games and help push this club through the final stretch. These kids have never been through a grind like this before, you have to think fatigue is setting in. People cheering helps overcome that.
