Well should be interesting... Both teams beat LC by about the same amount. Will be curious to see if we can finally play a good second half.
 
Corban? PSU lost to Corban? They should return to division two forthwith. They barely beat Division 3 George Fox and lost to NAIA Corban. PSU has gone downhill for so long that there just isn't much to say except enough is enough. What is the AD thinking? Time to clean house. This is just plain pathetic. And an attendance of 156?
 
so much for record padding....in all my years following this program (pre-D-1); I never thought they'd lose to Corban NAIA....coach sounded like she was trying to convince herself "we are going to be ok". I feel bad for these seniors, they have never been to BIG SKY tournament (let alone NCAA). Gotta question a lot of things. Bench is not deep and she doesn't trust them to play, how are they going to develop? She is going to wear out her few players; common theme. Program is in a death spiral.
Can't recruit, can't coach, can't keep players or coaches, winning seasons had other coach's players. :coffee:

Golpher: Torre Chisholm was to resign as the AD on Oct 31st of this year. On October 13, however, PSU appointed Valerie Cleary as the interim AD. She is the AD until and unless another person is hired. PSU has a AD and your posting is both pompous and ignorant to say the least. For someone with such a big mouth, you don't seem to have a clue about Portland State's athletic department.

"On Oct. 13, Valerie Cleary took over as Portland State's Interim Athletics Director following the resignation of Torre Chisholm. Cleary will serve until the University hires a permanent replacement for Chisholm.

"In the short time Valerie has been here she's shown strong leadership and concern for student-athletes," said PSU President Wim Wiewel, "and I look forward to working with her in the interim."

Cleary came to PSU in 2013 as Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator. Prior to that, she spent three years as associate director of admissions and event coordinator at Pacific University. Cleary also spent eight years working at Boise State in a variety of roles, including serving as a student-athlete academic advisor and the director of the student-athlete enhancement programs.

"I am honored to accept Dr. Wiewel's request to serve as the interim athletic director for the PSU athletics program," said Cleary. "As we embark on the search for the new AD, I am excited to help shape the vision and future of Viking Athletics."
 
Hard to watch going to be even harder now to listen too now that the coach doesn't want Teri Mariani travelling with the team can't wait to hear what the home teams announcer has to say about how PSU is playing.
Where is coach Brad Stricklin he has been missing from the bench? Heard he is no longer coaching!

The key word is "interim". When you are "interim" anything, you are just filling in until the permanent one comes in. Most jobs just want the "interim" to keep things going the way they have been and not make major changes to things. This is not just athletics but really any job out there.
 
Badketballnut....what's the story with Teri M.? Why isn't she traveling? Was that a mutual decision? Unless she just doesn't want to travel herself I imagine its killing her not to announce. I thought Brad was at last game?
