So we are talking about losing our AD and budget deficits while Central announces their stadium expansion and intent on trying to move to D1 by 2021...could make things interesting

It's just not fun to be an EWU fan at this moment... Time to weather the storm. Hoping our fortunes change for the better. At least we had one hell of a recruiting class. :thumb:

LOVE the idea of CWU being an FCS rival.
Should CWU continue down this path, I'm sure EWU will have weathered the storm and be back on track. Overall our athletics program is in good shape despite the deficit and lack of quality facilities. A solid AD hire (hopefully someone who has proven experience in getting expansion programs off the ground) would put EWU in great shape upon CWU's arrival.

So it looks like CWU is going to try to make a run for it. It's probably a good time to do it if you are a Wildcat, seeing as though the Eagles are without an AD and with a lukewarm President. The students of CWU are footing some of the bill for the expansion in their athletic fees. If CWU is getting state money though, we certainly should be too. Someone said Spokane Falls Community College is expanding for crying out loud. I'm from the westside though so I don't really know. What I do know is our incoming team looks great, but if we intuitively know the future of EWU football is gloomy, new recruits will be feeling that too. Hopefully they will stay aboard ship. This woman has got to step up for hiring a quality run at AD. I think she is perfectly happy with someone with a red polo shirt. The time is now for action. We need to distance ourselves more and more from CWU and WWU. The last 10 years has been great and we can't slide away now. We may not be able to do a full on Gateway Stadium, but our turf is almost 10 years old and we need real college stadium bleachers at the very least. Yes, I know blah blah blah....heard it all before, nothing new here.

Hey 98, I heard that whoever sold the school on an ice arena for a school without a hockey team(oh yeah we have a hockey club team) is working on an equestrian arena (for the equestrian club). Can you do some investigating on who that person is? It would seem his skill set could be used for the visitor bleacher replacement (for the bleacher club).
