Dairy Yewts (Game Thread)

Well if its anything like the CSU or parts of the BYU game then ya, why wouldnt it be? I hate saying that as much as the next but we have only had 2 games while everyone else has had at least 4. You can only gel so much in practice. So im hoping for some Dee magic but wouldnt be surprised with a loss either

I wouldn't take is as disrespectful what people are guessing. The big problem right now is that we don't have a lot to go off of for Weber. USU so far is off to a pretty good start. We are 4-0 for the first time in several years including wins over USC and Mississippi State. I know that those 2 teams aren't at the top of their conferences but they are both big schools in conferences with major recruiting advantages and they're only losses so far are to USU. UC Santa Barbara is also a very good team that we were able to beat on the road.

At this point in the season most teams have 4 or 5 games to look at to see where they are currently at. With Weber we only have 2. A game at BYU that looked like it was going to be a blowout until Weber made it interesting towards the end and a 21 point road loss to a team that is picked to finish lower than us in the MWC as they are rebuilding this year...although from what I understand you were missing Tresnak for most of the game.

As for what I expect, Rahe is always one that knows how to prepare for Stew and it's always a good game. USU looks to be much improved over what we've had the past 2 years and Weber appears to be slightly better. I'm thinking this game will stay close most of the way but with the depth that USU has I think that USU could possibly start to slip away and make it a 10-12 point game. The Dee is never an easy place to play though and I'm looking forward to watching what has become one of my favorite games on USU's schedule every year.

ProvoAggie, I agree. So far USU has looked good. No matter that Mississippi State's wins are against the same competition that is frequenting the Huntsman, perhaps, in some cases a bit worse. Mississippi Valley State?? USC, has a bit better competition, but nothing stellar. No matter, you pointed it out best. They have huge recruiting, facility, and $$$ advantages. Big wins against major programs is never something to snort at. I commend the Aggies on their wins over PAC-12 and SEC competition. Nice wins, no matter how bad they are!!

UCSB, is the biggest win, in my opinion. Even though their best player wasn't on the floor. That is a loss of 17.5 points a game, and close to 8 rebounds. But still you were at their place. That is what happened to the Cats in Ft. Collins. Once Tres went down, the Cats didn't have much to depend on in the middle, and a huge loss for the Cats. A lot of offense depends on Tres' shoulders. SUU, well, they have a tough road ahead of them this season, but are in the midst of a rebuilding campaign. Give the T-birds, two years.

No matter, today's game should be a fun one. Looking forward to seeing the Aggie faithful and a full and totally purple Dee!!
