Co-players of the week: Anthony Davis (Kentucky) and Damian Lillard (Weber State)

As for Lillard, he may end up being the top playmaker taken in the NBA draft if he leaves after his junior season. And before June, there's a chance he'll be more of a known commodity if Weber State wins the Big Sky Conference tournament and plays in the NCAAs. Lillard has the capability to dominate the ball and will his Wildcats to a tourney upset.

The 6-foot-3 guard scored 75 points in two games this past week. He scored 40 in a 92-79 win over Portland State and then followed that up with 35 against Northern Colorado. He made 25 of his 36 shots (69 percent) -- 11 of 17 from long range -- and also found time to dish out 10 assists.

Lillard certainly fills up the stat box with his nation-leading 25.5 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 3.8 apg for the Wildcats, who sit in first place in the Big Sky at 10-1. Montana is lurking just behind and Weber is certainly no guarantee to win the conference tourney. In a way, that would be a shame. Lillard deserves the national stage, even if it is only for one game.

Funny how a lot of people on the NBA draft forum are still spouting about "quality competition" and constantly make reference that he is not a PG because of his assist numbers in the Cal and BYU games (they conveniently leave out the St. Mary's game) are low. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a player's assist totals come at the mercy of those he's passed the ball to? If they don't score off of that pass, the player does not get an assist. If anyone of these (well, I'll be nice) persons cared to take a look at the team stats for those games, they would see how many shots the TEAM missed and most of those missed shots came off of passes from Damian this has gotten better in the last few games). When Dame is double/triple teamed he passes the ball and doesn't force shots. Just tells me that because they only read about his scoring and haven't seen him play first hand they have made an inaccurate assumption.

It was a lot of fun watching Dame dominate this past week. He is back to his true form. Great honor and well deserved. I agree with Katz - it would be a shame if Weber is not in the NCAA to watch arguably the top scoring point guard in the country.
But, I think Weber wins out. Mark my words - Weber will not lose again until the NCAA tournament!
If I am wrong, I promise to donate $25 to the Human Fund

dellevadova also had good game scoring 24 pts, and dishing out 11 assists but dont tell anyone he had 6 turnovers. :bad: weber as a team had 6 turnovers in its last game played.
