Pregame at Sac State

Posted by WSU sports blog, Yesterday, 07:39 PM

Weber State is about 20 minutes away from its game at Sacramento State. As of now, there is a lot more purple in the stands thanks to the friends and family of Wildcat freshman Damian Lillard.
Lillard, WSU’s starting point guard, is from Oakland and has got to be excited to have so many fans in the stands.

As for the game, it could be a tricky one. Sure, Sacramento State is on a 13-game losing streak and is 0-6 in conference, but you’ve got to think the Hornets are going to come alive one of these days. With only four players back from last season’s team, the Hornets are full of junior college transfers. Usually it takes JC players a while to get used to playing at the Division I level. Plus, it usually takes a new team a while to gel.
The Wildcats are hoping all that does not happen tonight.
