Well Chad Ford, ESPN draft guru, still has him as a lottery pick. I haven't read his latest INsider information but have heard from someone who gets that service that Ford says scouts and GMs really like him.
Both the Jazz and Phoenix need a point guard badly. They will both have picks in the 9-13 range (and the Jazz will have 2 picks). With North Carolina's Kendall Marshall breaking his wrist, I think that only solidifies Lillard's standing as the top point guard in this year's draft. He won't last long.
I read Coach Rahe's comments as, Lillard has not got an agent yet so the coaching staff is going to make sure where he stands. That could mean a chance that he will stay, but the minute he announces an agent, he has committed.
I just love Lillard and the way he is going about all this -- with a little caution, a little due diligence. It's the way to do it.
