Damian Lillard vs Rodney Stuckey

I have often thought that Lillard is comparable to Stuckey. He played at Eastern Washington a few years back. I believe that after his sophomore year that's when he was drafted in the first round of the NBA to the Pistons. Does anyone know of any speculations that Lillard is being scouted or talked about being drafted? I think that Lillard was a better Freshmen than Stuckey was. What do you guys think?

Stuckey really was amazing. He was above and beyond the rest of the conference and didn't fit in. He was fun to watch (even if he was schooling us) though we still beat them. He was a one man show.

I believe he was actually 6'5" so he has a lot of height on Lillard. Stuckey was very quick too. Lillard is stil young with time to improve.

Stuckey redshirted his fresh yr due to being a prop 48. So he played as a 20 and 21 yr old for his 2 yrs. While Lillard has only played as a true fresh and but was hte only all big sky 1st teamer as a true.

One thing I do know is if Lillard can average 18 ppg for 3 seasons he'll have the school's scoring record.
(he had 27 in the P&W and 27 in the UCCS game)

Lillard had 356 pts last yr and his average for the season was 11.5. Last yr it was the Davis/McCoy show. From here on out its Lillard time!

I can see the similarities between the two of them. However, I want there to be one major difference. Stuckey left after his sophmore year, I would love to see Lillard stay all four years. Oh by the way, have you heard that there are certain Big Sky coaches callling bigger schools trying to get them to recruit Lillard. WOW...Thats a serious NCAA violations. The coaches, Ben Howland being one, should tell the NCAA which Big Sky schools are involved in this and then they should be seriously penalized.

Where did you hear that Tal??

An individual connected with athletics gave me this information. He said that certain Pac-10 coaches had received phone calls from specific Big Sky coaches trying to get them to recruit Lillard. One Pac-10 coach in particular was extremely disappointed that such activities were occurring (how dumb can you be to call a certain UCLA head coach trying to get him to recruit against his alma mater and a program he played for??).

The only way I can see Lillard leaving WSU is by being a draft lottery pick. Other than that I can't see him switching schools. I remember ther being talks abour Stuckey switching teams or being drafted, of course he choose the draft. Had he not already used his reshirt things might have been different. Lillard does have that redshirt but he is too comitted to Weber State and coach Rahe. I have heard Lillards mom loves Ogden and him playing for Rahe. So don't be worried about him leaving.
