Davis beats Poly

down 21-3 at the half, Aggies come back to win 22-21 with 30 seconds to go. Poly's QB is horrible; can't believe they left him in. Ags stopped the run in the second half, and finally converted on Poly's mistakes (3 times within the 10 yard line yielded 6 points). Wright to Creadick for the TD. Poly is out of the playoffs.

didn't see that one coming.

kind of nice that the causeway means something for both teams, besides bragging rights. the more that happens, the better it is for both schools/teams.

wouldn't it be cool to have the causeway be for the Big Sky championship some day really soon? the better BOTH schools are the better it is for the area -> get some interest throughout the season, have the papers following the BigSky and the playoff race?

we can wish, right, Alum?

This is actually good in terms of the small playoff chances Sac still has. Not only does it knock Poly out, but if Sac can handle Davis, it makes the win carry even more weight.

I hope so, better than the battle of the Montucky schools for the crown every year.

I think the big game for us (if the selection committee had any fairness and reasoning ability, which they don't!) would have been the EWU/ SUU game. SSU beat both davis and Poly . Had SUU beaten EWU which had a win over Montana that would have been impressive. We should be ranked above both Poly and SUU because we beat NAU, lost to EWU by less than SUU and beat Weber that beat Montana. I can't wait for all of these new schools to be included in the Big Sky schedules so these rankings can be decided on Big Sky football fields the rather than left up to committees.

i think the Montana game would have been a key for Sac; had they lost to UND (it was close, UM somehow kept the Sioux in the game), that would have opened the door. Had SUU won, they probably would have gotten the nod between two 6-win teams. A win over EWU and Poly, probably would carry more weight than Weber and NAU. but, who knows what the committee might think.

i just wanted Montana to lose, regardless of playoff implications!

dang, 2 years from officially being in the Big Sky, and i've acquired that anti-Montana menality!

Enjoy it while you can Mikey. Won't happen on Saturday. The Hornets are too good, too smart, and only get better in the second half. FUCD!

Go Hornets!!!
