This one is about two years too late, but Sorenson questions the Utes scheduling and lack of local teams that are included.

I guess I'm getting to be a bit of an old-timer as I believe that basketball is the great equalizer for our Big 4 university sports and the Beehive Boot and its tradition gets nary a mention in the article. I miss it! But I'm not sure any of the "new" generation of fans (especially Ute fans who today are mostly newly arrived PAC 12 dopes) even know what the old Boot was.
Then there are the comments below the article -- it turns into a "well the Y's football schedule is not that good." What? This is about the other state basketball programs. This is about the fact that their b-ball schedule is a public embarrassment. I hate the arrogance of Ute fans whose claim to greatness seems to be they've joined a conference that continues to beat them like a dog that's too dumb to train.
