Despite the loss...

...Garrett Safron has been named ROOT Sports Offensive Player of the Week.

41-58-412-4 TD-0 INT
20-93-2 TD rush
505 yards total offense

41 completions/412 passing yards are both Hornet single-game records.

Safron is now second all-time in completions (484) and TDs (47), third in attempts (774) and yards (5,224). For a single season (which isn't even over yet), Safron is second for TDs (22), third for completions (214), and seventh for yards (2,310). And just imagine...those marks are skewed by that horrible start. He's certainly making up for lost time in his junior year. These records could be OBLITERATED by the time next season is over...IF the staff quits getting cold feet....

Great job Garrett! What a courageous and though competitor! The amazing thing is that after getting leveled twice he came back stronger and more aggressive each time! He did the same thing at Weber St.
game, hurt his none throwing hand, 21 stitches, came back in and took over the game.
Very well deserving of the 4 BSC Player Week Awards over the last two years along with the National Player of the Week Award he won for the Colorado win.
