Did Thomson Make a Mistake?

No draft pick, and not signed so far, though some teams haven't done much of anything in terms of UFA rookie signings yet. (The Giants, for example, have signed NOBODY yet.)

Could this be an indication that he should have taken the NCAA up on the offer of an 8th year, either to try Washigton again, or to find a grad program here at Sac?

I'm not sure why anyone ever thought Thomson was good enough to capture and hold on to a NFL roster spot. I appreciate what he did for the Sac State program but the transfer to U of W was an act of desperation that had zero chance of working out.
