• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Jones was 2020-21 Big Sky Freshman of the Year.

Most of the award winners are graduated or transferred from last season. Jones is only getting better. Against Duquesne, Jones has 12 points and 13 boards in 35 minutes of play. He also had 1 steal which was the nail in the coffin at the end of the game for the Dukes. Last yr he averaged 1.6 spg.

He looks to be the frontrunner to be the only player in Big Sky history to win back to back FoTY awards.

His first freshman yr he averaged 20.5 mpg, shot 56.2%, 79% FT's, 8.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2 apg, 1.6 spg.

I am not aware of any potential freshman who might be good and it might be too early to really know.

I remember when he committed to us and reading his recruiting bio. I got the vibe that jones was going to be special. He is so versatile. He is the best freshman we have had since Dame. I think im more excited about Jones than I was about Bolomboy. And Joel was amazing. Can't wait to watch him hopefully for the next 4 years. Back to back Freshman of the year is hilarious. No way there is a better Freshman then Jones in the big sky. Hell not many any players in the whole conference that are better let alone Freshman.

Dillon gets all of those rebounds because he works harder at it than anyone else. Such a big heart and big motor. All of our big men could take a lesson from him in that regard. I'm sure that the coaches are pointing that out all the time. You have to ask yourself why those big guys can't get it done? It's all about hard work and desire. Maybe they just don't have that in them. You don't have to be the most gifted player to be the best rebounder and there is little that correlates to winning like rebounding and hard work on D.

It's absolutely unacceptable to have 6'10'' and 6'11' guys who get one rebound. They are just not working at it. You can't tell me that Dillon gets them all and leaves nothing for the rest of the team. We gave up 17 ORBs and that is just laziness. :coffee:

after our 4-0 start jones has had...

1. non DI: 10 & 11
2. Duquesne: 12 & 13
3. UMass: 15 & 5
4. Ball St: 19 & 14

season average: 14 ppg, 10.8 ppg

did we mention in this thread he is a freshman?
